[three things]
1. i already owned this dress in rust and black, but still jumped to bid on the gray version when one popped up on ebay.  it's a little too short for work without tights, but perfect for summer weekend-ing. 
2. i am smitten with this crazy bright coral-red nail polish.  i just keep re-painting my nails the same color when it starts chipping.  i kind of like the idea of sticking with one color for a whole season even if it totally doesn't go with half of my outfits.  
3. i have to work five whole days this week which seems super oppressive after having short weeks the last two.  i have two happy hour adventures on my calendar for this week though, so that should help a little.

1. the other day when i really did not want to go to work, i threw on my favorite comfy basics, added heels and a stack of necklaces, and called it good.  i thought i would feel under-dressed at work, but the heels and shiny jewelry totally counteracted the pajama-ness of this shirt.  
2. giant bun!  it turned into a frizz-ball by the time i took these photos, but it was super humid out.  
3. i totes missed canada day on monday! so, northern neighbors, happy (belated) holiday!  and happy fourth of july tomorrow to my stateside friends!

1. last week got a little crazy pants, but a long weekend and some family time has got me ready to tackle this awesomely short week at work.
2. this vest.  yup, i totes wore it last week and have since decided that it just goes with everything.  
3. also now in the go-with-everything category?  mint green nail polish.

dude, i cannot believe that we've already been back from our honeymoon for an entire month!  work has been crazy busy for me and the boy, so we definitely had to jump back into things quickly.  luckily i'll have a few long weekends in july to work on my summertime laziness.

i still have to wear a pants a few days a week to work, but i've been getting more creative about it by wearing patterned pants more.  you can tell by the starred favorites that i'd rather be wearing dresses and skirts.  someday, when i don't have to climb construction site ladders so often, my skirts and dresses will get more love.

[three things]
1. my trench vest gets worn a ton (evidence here), so i've been looking for a dark green vest to diversify my vest collection.  i came across this one when i was getting my trendy accessory fix at forever21 and i am all about these little rows of studs.  the vest looks cooler than me...and that's always a good thing.  

2. i have been wearing these shoes all the time.  maybe i need to put a different pair of shoes by the door, so that all the other shoes get worn.  

3. things are getting a lil bit too busy for me lately, so i'm going to lay off the blogging sauce until i've got my ducks back in a row.

[three things]
1. after a couple years of wearing non-jeans five days a week to work, the bosses finally decided to have a summer of casual fridays.  since i haven't had to figure out a jeans work outfit in quite awhile, it's a lil bit harder to get dressed on fridays.  anyway, this is what i wore last friday and it seemed about the right mix of casual and put-together.  

2.  the best part was that i had to make a last-minute trip out to a construction site and i was wearing jeans just like everybody else there!  finally!  well, except for all the guys that wear overalls.  how about overall fridays?  ya?  

3. this might be my second pair of these exact same flats.  my old pair wasn't worn out yet, but they've been my default shoe lately and they're cheapies, so i stockpiled.
