i'm recovering today from a weekend adventure that involved four canoes going to see a glass box in the woods.  as such, it is the perfect day for a simple outfit punched up with a giant ring.

it is un-warm today, so i got to layer up all sorts of pieces from my thirty like it was winter or something.

this bun looks a little pebbles flintstone-ish. 

and i'm wearing my tucker for target dress backwards which puts the ruffles in the front.  so crazy!  okay, not so much.  i'm beginning to think that it's just a normal dress with the tag in the wrong place.

i usually avoid yellow and black together to avoid resembling a bumblebee, but the gray here provides a good buffer.

this skirt is silk and a brilliant magenta hue.

this skirt is not my size at all.  it's paperbag-ish--and not in a good way.  i didn't consider this before including it in my thirty.  oh well.  it will spend the remainder of the challenge taunting all the gray pieces i included.

these shoes made it through dinner and shoe shopping with my college roomie, so i got to be five inches taller for the evening.  

even though everyone seems to think that i missed my index finger when painting my nails, i am still all for the odd finger out nail painting strategy.
