this is another dress from my too-short-for-work collection that i've re-purposed as a shirt in order to infuse my workwear with some much-needed zig zags.

i wore this dress over the weekend for brunching and was wondering why it doesn't ever get to go to work with me. don't tell the dress, but it is crazy short and probably not so good for anything besides sitting carefully.








but then i realized that this problem could easily be solved by hiding the questionable hemline under a skirt.  bam.  workday outfit done.

i picked up these superhero hue tights over christmas, but couldn't find a way to wear them that didn't make me look like i was in cahoots with mr. clause.  not like friends, but more like a permanent employee at the north pole.  so, they've been patiently waiting for another red holiday to come around.  it's just their luck that valentine's day is a mere six weeks later.  i still felt absolutely ridiculous wearing them.  maybe i'll forget about this by next december and they'll get another chance.

i've been all about pretending that this sweatshirt isn't pajamas by dressing it up.  this combination involves a pencil skirt, heels, and lipstick.  and it seemed like the perfect backdrop for a valentine's day color explosion.
