i bought this coat in 2006 when i visited my sister in japan and it rained every single day.  it always reminds me of the month i spent with my sister and her husband when i wear it.

  4. I'm envious of those with trenches, because I can't wear them. I get too cold for them in the mornings we have here, and I don't want to spend $150+ on a good trench just so I can wear it for the 3 weeks it's just right for it here in MI. :( Same goes w/ capes.

Your hair curly is amazingly charming. I love the ringlets! Quite enviable to a straight haired girl like me.

  5. I love your curls! I've lived in Japan so I completely understand how crazy the rainstorms can get there! I bought a trench coat when I was there too :)

  6. I love your hair, so jealous of the curls. And that necklace is too cute. Isn't it funny how sometimes clothes reminds us of a certain period in time? :)

  8. i made the necklace actually! i was having trouble finding a necklace like this that wasn't giant and heavy, so i just got all crafty about it and busted out some pliers. :)

  11. Aw I love vacation shopping. Especially since you have the fond memories attached with the item. I have a soft spot for funnel neck jackets and yours is super cute!
