to the beach last week
when we moved to chicago i tried to convince myself that the city beaches on lake michigan were a good substitute for the southern california beaches we used to frequent. this theory was holding until we went back to the left coast and went to the beach. so, now the jig is up. sorry, midwest, your sunshine and waves just aren't the same.
