i've decided blue is a neutral.  
and one of my co-workers also has bright blue pants, so it gets awkward when we go places together in matching pants.  it's only happened once, but we were also both wearing black jackets.

i've been having trouble figuring out what to wear with this jacket, so when it ended up next to this spotted tank in my closet i figured the two deserved a chance.  in the mirror, i thought this combination was totally crazy and clashy.  i felt like a little kid that had thrown on all my favorite patterns all at once.  as i went about my errands though, the combination totally grew on me.  now i really want to swap out the jeans and sandals to make it work-appropriate.

my co-workers decided unanimously that these are, in fact, real pants and not pajamas.  something about pleats, four pockets, and a zipper were cited as evidence.  i'm going to go along with this and continue to wear my workjamas to the office...just not with bunny slippers.

i really wanted to wear a jacket today, but as it turns out, it's actually not the right month for long sleeves.  instead, a sleeveless trench and light scarf were totally weather-appropriate and took care of my compulsive layering tendencies.  sometimes i wonder how i ever survived in nevada for three years only being able to layer in december and january.
