there's a special everybody everywear thrift party going on today and i am pretty excited about it. this polkadot number is one of my favorite thrift finds, and it's just one of the many skirts i've thrifted over the last few years.  i seem to have great luck with skirts and they are rarely priced at more than $4 round these parts. in terms of width, it's relatively easy to guess your size. and hemming can easily fix any length problems. i'm talking excess fabric that leads to frump.
not like awesome midi-length elegance, but more like grandma style odd lengths.
and not like grandma chic, but actual things that octogenarians sport.

[previously on] thrifted skirts
thrifted skirts, ideas,
red wool in winter 2011: unaltered
tiny floral print polyester in fall 2010: bubbled to half its length
gingham wool in winter 2011: hemmed to about eight inches shorter than the original
floral polyester in spring 2010: hemmed to about half it's original length
