1. with all the blogging events out there how do you determine which ones to participate in and which ones to avoid?
i don't participate in very many blogging events. i just recently starting participating in fbff because i like reading other blogger's answers. i like that there's no obligation to participate every week. as far as the thirty challenges go, i've been following kendi since back before she did her first thirty remix-a-thon back in my flickr wardrobe remix days. i liked the idea, since it's all about remixing, so when i starting my blog last summer i signed up. and now i'm on my third round!
2. be honest, have you ever jumped on the bandwagon of some blogging movement/event for the wrong reasons? how did that turn out?
at one point i joined chictopia, but it's seems a little but too much like a popularity contest. i also joined weardrobe without knowing too much about it and i'm totally smitten. it makes my "previously on" posts really easy to put together. 3. how do you give your own flair to a blog event while still maintaining the general mission and purpose?
i stick to my way of presenting content--dashes and dots. i recap all the outfits using animated gifs (my first rounds are here and here) because, well, i just heart animated gifs. i think that a remix challenge really just pushes me to be more creative with my combinations, so it's good for me (and my little blog too).4. when determining the best content for your blog what criterion do you keep in mind?
um...if it's pretty? i'm really not trying to make it big in blogging. i have a blog because i like it. i really only post about things i wear and things i make, so this blog is just a little sliver of my life pie.* i have a lot of admiration for bloggers like hillary that write about all of their life adventures while still maintaining a strong identity/personality on their blogs. 5. while everything will not suit your blog, how do you try and support your fellow bloggers who are participating in something worthwhile but not your style?
i don't feel any sort of obligation to fully read and/or comment every post from every blog i follow. and really, i would hope that readers of my blog do the same. *it's key lime pie, in case you were wondering. yes, my life is one giant green pie. mmm.
