i've got a particularly busy and important week, so i'll be taking a little break from the dash dot until things calm down. i've just gotta finish my thesis, write a bunch, defend the bejeezus out of that thesis, and then graduate. piece of cake.
so, until then i'm probably wearing something like this. they won't let me near any saws if i'm wearing a skirt, so it's going to be jeans and closed-toed shoes for the duration.
in the meantime, you should check out better in sepia and the other emily, both blogs are written by amazing girls who have the same degree that i'm working on.

ReplyDeleteGood luck, Dotty, but I'm sure you'll do fabulously with your thesis.
ReplyDeleteohhhhh....thesis. Good luck. That is a very stressful time. Try not to trip over a cord at your defense....That doesn't help your defense in any way- but I wouldn't know first hand.

i love the mint scarf! i have one just like it and it's so useful! good luck with your thesis!
ReplyDeleteCRUSH that thesis, girl. It is awful, it is exhausting, it is exhilarating, and then... it's over! And you never have to think about it again unless you want to. And in the meantime, thanks for the shout-out. :)
ReplyDelete(And can I just nerd out about how thrilled I am that your program has proper woodshop rules?? I was a shop monitor in school, and while we weren't allowed to laser-cut without a monitor present (which, what?), we had absolutely no rules governing basic shop safety. I remember begging a classmate with waist-length hair to please, just tie it back while using the drill press! I can't watch!)
You will definitely, definitely KILL your thesis, Dotty! I wish you very much luck.
ReplyDeleteAnd yeay for Architecture students. My father was one, and he's a successful and happy Architect since the age of 23 (he worked his ass off in college in the Philippines and graduated early with his Degree AND license)... so I know that you can dream big, have the dream job and be content AND happy with all of it! I wish these same things for you.
Good luck, and I'm sure you will stay Chic no matter what.
