here's my new dressing for work tactic: shapeless silk dress+blazer+flats.  i can ditch the jacket while i'm waiting for my train in a stuffy station, wander around the office making numerous cups of hot cocoa in my quiet flats, and make the low v neckline of this dress disappear under a giant scarf.

this awesome wall matched my dress exactly.  chameleons for the win.  

oh, and these sandals finally dropped into reasonably-priced territory, so i finally pulled the trigger, even though sandals season is drawing to a close.

i tried on too many things at h+m and ended up thinking that this pink number was a dress. maybe with tights it could pass, but until fall rolls around it's going to be a tunic.
